This is one of my all-time favorite soaps. African black soap is a super natural soap that originates in West Africa. I used to use this soap as a child since it helped my delicate eczema skin.

When I began to think more consciously about my skin, diet, and the impact of everything on the environment, during my slow living journey, I returned to African Black soap.

Normally, I get this at the store in Amsterdam, but during the lockdowns, it was convenient to order it online at Natural Heroes, along with my DIY bundle.
Although this is not a local example, it is one that is excellent for your skin, is wrapper in plastic, and I am pleased to spend my money (in)directly on African entrepreneurs

You might be wondering why it’s good and what it’s good for…
It is entirely natural and vegan, which means it is not harmful to the environment.

It not only cleans your skin but also your hair thoroughly. It helps in the removal of harmful bacteria as well as dirt and impurities, therefore it can be used as a cleaner, for example. It contains vitamins A and E, which contribute in the production of collagen and the firmness of your skin, etc. Vitamin E also moisturizes and improves the texture of your skin. However, I do not use this soap on a daily basis because it cleans the skin a little too thoroughly, resulting in dry skin with repeated usage.
